A campaign bidding below the market clears nothing and spends nothing — and from the outside it looks identical to a campaign with no inventory.
Zero-bid alerts tell you when a campaign is sitting below the market and therefore winning nothing.
The recommended-bid hint shows what the traffic you've targeted is actually clearing at, so you can correct it without guesswork.
Bid recommendations at creation time do the same job earlier — before launch, based on the targeting selected. See Creating a campaign.
Why this matters for your operators
"My campaign isn't spending" is the most common support question any DSP receives, and a low bid is the most common cause. Pointing an advertiser at the bid hint resolves it in one message instead of a diagnostic thread.
Raising the bid isn't always the answer. If the bid is already competitive, look at over-narrow targeting, an exhausted balance or an unapproved creative. Campaign Health Check checks all of them at once.
