Creating a campaign

Campaign creation is a guided, step-by-step flow, redesigned to get a new advertiser to launch quickly without missing anything important.

The flow

  1. Basics — name the campaign and pick the pricing model (CPM or CPC, depending on format).
  2. Budget — daily and total budgets, plus pacing.
  3. Targeting — geo, device, OS, browser and the rest. See Targeting options available to your advertisers.
  4. Creatives — attach at least one approved creative in the right size. See Ad formats and creative specs.
  5. Review — check everything, then launch.

Traffic previews before you commit

During creation, advertisers see traffic volume previews and bid recommendations based on the targeting selected, plus availability by GEO and traffic source. There are also clear warnings when a targeting selection will significantly restrict traffic — the single most useful guard against a campaign that launches and never delivers.

Frequency capping limits impressions per user per period. Set it before launch, not after.

After launch

Delivery starts once creatives are approved. If nothing happens, run Campaign Health Check rather than changing settings at random.
