Conversions aren't being recorded

Clicks look healthy, conversions read zero. Almost always a tracking problem, not a media problem.

1. Is {CLICK_ID} in your click URL?
This is the most common cause by a wide margin. Without it your tracker receives no click ID, so there is nothing to attribute a conversion to — and the postback fails silently. See Tracking macros.

2. Is the postback actually being called?
Check your tracker's logs to confirm it fires on conversion. A postback configured but never called looks exactly like no conversions.

3. Is the postback URL correct?
Test it by hand with a real click ID and confirm the conversion registers.

4. Was it ever tested with real traffic?
A misconfigured tracker doesn't throw an error — it quietly records nothing, and the data is unrecoverable. Always run a live test click before scaling spend. See Third-party tracker integrations.

5. Check attribution timing
If conversions happen well after the click, confirm your attribution window covers it.

Don't judge campaign performance until tracking is verified. Every hour spent optimizing against conversion data that isn't arriving is wasted, and pausing a campaign that was actually working is worse than doing nothing.
