How advertiser balances work

The platform is prepaid. Advertisers fund a balance, and campaign spend draws down against it.

The flow

  1. An advertiser adds funds to their balance on your platform.
  2. Campaigns spend against that balance as they deliver.
  3. When the balance reaches zero, delivery stops immediately โ€” even though campaigns still read as active.

This is the single most common cause of a campaign stopping without warning. See An advertiser reports no delivery (for operators).

Separate from your subscription

Advertiser balances have nothing to do with your platform subscription fee. The subscription licenses the platform; balances buy media. See What the subscription covers โ€” and what it doesn't.

Unused balance never expires. It stays on the account indefinitely and can be used whenever the advertiser is ready.

Visibility

Account balance presentation, transaction and funding records, payment status notifications and invoice history are all available โ€” with expanded billing visibility for administrators, so you can see the position across your advertisers rather than one account at a time.
